Aysun Ozkose

Aysun Ozkose is Associate Professor and Head of the Restoration Department in Fethi Toker Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Karabuk University. She completed her BArch, MSc and PhD studies in Gazi University. Also, she completed a course on “Restoration of Monuments and Historical Centers” in Florence (1989), and ARCH 91- Architectural Protection course in ICCROM in Rome (1991). 

Between 1981 and 1993 she worked in several architectural offices and building sites and the Turkish Republic Ministry of Culture and General Directorship of Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage. In this period she worked on the documentation, restoration and museology of cultural heritage of many cities of Turkey. She has been involved in the historic preservation projects in Safranbolu since 1991, where she completed restoration 35 projects. Moreover, she was involved in similar projects in Amasya, Kastamonu and Bursa. She has been a member and the Head of Karabuk Conservation Council of Cultural and Natural Values since 2006.

She published more than twenty papers, and delivered more than thirty lectures at different universities or symposia.
